An interactive bass-fretboard app built around two destinations, Chord Field and Scale Practice, now backed by a full groove engine: synthesized drums, a chord pad with its own FX rack, and a 303-style Acid Bass synth that can generate its own harmonically-aware basslines.

FretField is an interactive bass-fretboard application that teaches the neck as a spatial field of harmonic possibilities — not a grid of shapes to memorize. By explicit product direction it’s deliberately narrow: two destinations, not a flat list of modes.
Explore is Chord Field: click any fret to set a root, pick a chord, and see the full 12-tone Harmonic Field light up around it — root, structural, stable, extension, color, tension, alteration, chromatic-approach, avoid.
Practice is Scale Practice: pick a root, scale, and fret-zone (or a chord progression instead), every note of the scale lights up at once, and a synthesized band keeps time alongside it — a multi-voice drum machine, an optional chord pad with its own seven-effect Fuzz/Reverb/Delay/Chorus/Phaser/Flanger/Tremolo rack, and an optional 303-style Acid Bass synth. Acid Bass can also generate its own harmonically-aware basslines — pick a style (Rooted, Funk, Acid, Chromatic, Melodic, Walking), and each generated note maps back onto real, playable fretboard positions with a plain-language explanation of why it’s there.
An optional Live Input layer turns on your bass’s actual pitch: play through a USB interface or mic and FretField highlights the real note, live, in either destination’s own color language — analyzed locally in the browser, never recorded or uploaded.
